New Ways To Promote Your Writing

Networking online with other writers provides a great opportunity to find new ways to promote your writing. Just this week alone, I found out about two great websites and I have started using them to promote my blogs, my webpages, and my HubPage articles that I've written.

The name of the two websites are:

"She Told Me" and " Who Hub

Both of them are relatively new and they both have the potential to be a serious promotional vehicle. With "She Told Me", you get an opportunity to promote your blogs, articles, and webpages by witing a brief "scoop" about them, then inserting your url address in order to link directly to the page. This is for you writers that are looking for ways to get the word out about your blogs, articles, webpages, and anything else you may be doing on line. Networking online has never been better!

As for the other site, "Who Hub", they allow you to interview yourself (so to speak), by answering a bunch of questions pertaining to your field of choice. They allow you to add url addresses to promote yourself as well. They even encourage it, as does "She Told Me". I've only just gotten acquainted with these sites, but I plan on writing some in depth information on them soon. Until then, take a moment to pop over and look at the format of these two sites.

Ghost Writing And Article Writing On “Spec"

Ghost writing is when you write and get paid for supplying work that will specifically be published without your byline. Writing on “spec” is when you take on an assignment, either solicited or non-solicited, and you write the article with the hope that it will be accepted for purchase by the customer. Typically, a customer will request you to write something on spec and you don't get paid until the writing is completed and the customer is content with the results.

Some websites actually provide you with a list of assignments that you can write on spec. In many cases, but not always, the customer will want to buy full rights, so they can remove the byline and modify the article as they please. This amounts to ghost writing on spec. It is, however, possible to do one without the other. That is because some spec writers only sell usage or unique rights, thus limiting what the customer can do with the writing.

There are some great websites that let you write articles on whatever topic you want to write on and Google Ads, Amazon and other advertisers pop up to generate ad revenue for you. Ads are based on whatever your writing is about.

because they have such an easy and laid back format, plus the other writers (Hubbers) are really friendly and! You can learn a lot about writing, writing for pay and just about anything there. HUBPAGES allows you to make money in a number of ways:

a) Ad Impressions – Get paid for “x” amount of “page views” (when Traffic visits your article page)

b) Ad Clicks – Get paid when someone actually “clicks” on the ads on your article page

Contextual ads are the most popular and most profitable ways to earn money with your writing. Of this type of advertising, Google AdSense is the leading source of most writers’ income.
